I will be calling Beryl again this week to find out if the White Noise CDs have arrived. If the answer is yes, then I will request your checks and any final orders. I'd like to send off the order to Pete about a week after I ask for cheques. The pound has steadied at $1.45 for transactions of over $1million. So the prices should be about 5% less than my initial quotes. I'll send out precise estimates when the time comes. Until then, Derek ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derek H. Tessa Niles turns up on a lot of albums. She's a frequently used studio backing vox. What amazes me is that Gary uses different women on each album yet the wailing always sounds the same :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Mar 93 21:21:40 PST From: dlangs%sunstroke@sdsu.edu (Derek Langsford) Subject: The sounds at the end of "This is New Love" To: numanews@cs.uwp.edu >From metlay@netcom.com Sun Feb 28 11:12:45 1993 From: metlay@netcom.com (metlay) Subject: "Picture...." ptoing boing boing boing, beeble boy-yoy-oing "...stop" Date: Sun, 28 Feb 93 11:11:44 PST >> Does anybody know how Gary created this sound? The LIST price is nearly $2000, but you can easily get them for under a grand if you really want one. The uWave is a small, compact, slick, well-built machine that nicely emulates the classic PPG sounds at a reasonable price. The only reason I sold mine is that I also own ANOTHER classic wave-mod synth, the Sequential Prophet VS, and realized that if I had one I didn't need the other. -- mike metlay | ZRGYNL SAYS: atomic city | It's a sad commentary on the tastes of p. o. box 81175 | today's TV audience when a show like pittsburgh pa 15217-0675 | 'Deep Space Nine' gets high ratings while metlay@netcom.com | a show like 'Space Rangers' gets axed. |-P ------------------------------ End of Gary Numan Digest ******************************
