I met a friend of Nash's (also an electronic violinist) named Martin Shaw this weekend. Martin played with one of Nash's pre-Gary Numan bands called FM which released a fine album called "Black Noise." The album is very much a cross between Ultravox and Yes (if you can imagine this). It seems that Nash has re-mastered the album (the original 24-track recordings are nowhere to be found) for Canadian release sometime in the next couple of months on CD. Martin said that he doubts the CD will be easy to find in the US as the distribution will be handled by a Canadian firm. For this reason, I have offered to take any orders for the CD much like Derek has done for the Numan fan club CD's in the past. Currently, I have no information on release dates and whatnot, so it would be useless to send me an order now -- I don't even know how much it will cost. Is anyone else familiar with FM?
