I picked up _Machine and Soul_ and _White Noise_, both for only $8.99. Also found a new YMO release, called _Technodon_ (I think), Japanese import, for $8.99. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 03 Apr 94 14:47:06 EDT From: snelladams@aol.com Subject: Down in the Park To: numan@cs.uwp.edu Bill ZKO 3-2/Y05 says he remembers a version of Down in the Park that ended this way: We are not lovers, We are no Romantics. We are here to serve you A different face but the words never change. We're so sad. That's the version that's on the soundtrack of the movie "Times Square." ------------------------------ Date: 5 Apr 94 05:45:49 +0100 From: danherrin@kiste.pfalz.de Subject: Introduction To: numan@cs.uwp.edu Hi, Dan Herrin here. I subscribed before but quit when I graduated from school. I've listened to Gary Numan since about 1978, along with artists like Kraftwerk, John Foxx, Plastics, Fripp, Eno, and a long-forgotten but fantastic one-album group in Japan called Films (album: Misprint) that I am still desperately looking for (I had their album in the mid-1980's but sold it along with a lot of other punk, by mistake. ). Anyway, I always enjoy synth/Future Now treatments of society, and thus the attraction to Numan's work. I first bought some keyboards in 1982. They were control-voltage and fairly cheap only because I lived in Japan. They were a nightmare to sync! MIDI made things better, but original sounds worse. It's too hard to program innovative sounds when everything is controlled through a few access buttons and menus. Better I think to have the whole whole thing laid out in dozens of buttons; it seems easier to track sound formation that way. Anyway, those analog keyboards were sold, along with my beautiful color card and monitor, to pay for school, school and more school. I'm looking forward to reading posts here. Cheers. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 03 Apr 1994 11:15:13 -0500 (EST) From: OIT_DUANE@VAX1.ACS.JMU.EDU Subject: New single To: numan@cs.uwp.edu Just for the ones that may or may not know,Gary has released a new single witha band named Generator.
