I apologize as the confusion is my fault. it is 15$. This, as far as I know, is a very difficult to find item. #2 I believe I called "Isolate", "Isolation". Isolate include 12" mixes of Berserker, The Secret etc... and it includes "Time to Die" ,a fabulous Numan track that I believe only appeared previously on the "New Thing from London Town" single. I also want to add to the list of items for sale. Asylum 1 + 2 for 30$ a piece. I purchased them for 50$ a piece new. It would cost at least 100$ to duplicate them both in BB releases. "Skin Game" CD single, 5$ US The following items are up for bid. They are on vinyl. They are all very rare as far as I know. Autographed Pleasure Principle (record is scratched on one side) Autographed 12" US promo release of WTMB + WB+H. The WTMB is the extended version on Asylum2. I have not seen this extended version of WB+H anywhere else. 12" White Noise EP on white vinyl 7" limited edition AFE? picture disc 7" shape picture disc of Warriors looks like Saab Viggen jet fighter Picture disc of Album "The Plan '78" 12" "Miracles" on red vinyl 7" picture disc of "Facination" 7" picture disc of "New Thing.." Volumes 1,2, and 3 that accompanied release of "The Plan", all on colored vinyl. 7" Spanish release of "We are Glass", rare cover. Double single release of Gary's first two tubeway singles. Gatefold LP of "Metal Rhythm" 7" of "New Anger", poster sleeve 12" remix of "My World Storm" Japanese release of "Complex" If there are other things you want of Gary's on vinyl I may have them. All of them must go. Some of these include Berserker and its 12", Strange Charm, 12" of New Anger, My Dying Machine 12", Living Ornaments 1 + 2 (not boxed set), Warriors and its 12", Sister Surprise 12". Exhibition LPs. Cars remix '87. Change your Mind 12". 12" picture of "I can't stop" (sucky song IMO). German manufactured "Fury". If I haven't mentioned it just ask for it and tell me what you'd be willing to pay. I'll try to arrange getting it to you. Just mail to luket@yvax.byu.edu. My parting words... You guys really under rate Telekon, although it could have been better with I Die; You Die and We are Glass included. Berserker is one of the Best albums ever produced. How it didn't vault Gary back to the top is testimony to back up his claims to being blackballed by the BBC. It is simply a crime. Alot of his recent bests have been on B-sides of singles (ex Rumour, I Don't Believe, Time to Die). He really should have included them on the albums. If you are going to be as strange as Gary, you might as well go all the way. Finally, the latest remake of AFE? completely sucks and destroys the whole sense of the original. Thanks, Trevor. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Jun 94 13:52:32 EDT From: richard@dgbt.doc.ca (Richard Paiement) Subject: This House is Cood, Change Your Mind, ... To: numan@cs.uwp.edu, richard@dgbt.doc.ca In response to a few posts in the last Digest... >True, the Telekon/I, Assassin 2CD set has the original album version of >We Take Mystery whereas Asylum Vol 2 disc 3 has the extended version. But >this allowed them to put on a completely new track from that era "This >House is Cold". I've still to hear it but I understand it's quite a good >track. There was also a rumour that Gary's first ever published musical >effort (vocals for a TV commercial) is added to the Warriors disc of the >2CD set. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I've had a listen to both the "This House is Cold" track and the TV commercial, and both are interesting but not necessarily worth the full price of the 2 CD set. The "This House is Cold" track is from the Telekon recording sessions, and is in the same style as songs from that album, and related B-sides. Telekon being one of my favourite Numan albums, I enjoyed listening to this track. As for the TV commercial, it is the soundtrack for a Lee Cooper jeans advertisement which appeared on British television in 1979 (I think), including music, lyrics and vocals by Gary, in the punk style of his early recordings. As one could expect, it last about 30 seconds, and is an interesting historical track, if nothing else. >The live album slated for later this month is apparently called >"Here I Come". I am not sure if this is on NUMA or not. We might >have to wait and see. It will apparently be a 2 CD set of a complete >concert from last Autumn's Dream Corrosion Tour featuring Gary's new >renditions of old tracks featuring the "new power style". Should clock >in at around 2 hours. I've heard some of Gary's so-called "power style" from bootlegs of his fall 1993 concerts, a style supposedly influenced by his listening to The Sisters of Mercy and other groups he recently discovered, and to me his music still sounds too similar to his previous Janet Jackson style. Then again, I didn't give him a good chance to prove himself, having stopped the tape halfway into the second song. Note my disappointment. And here's an idea for a new survey... The question is: -> Who really wants yet another live Gary Numan recording? and as a corrolary: -> Would anyone want to see Gary do an Unplugged tour? My answer to both of these is: NOT ME! >>Do you have the CD single for "Change Your Mind"? Does it have the 12in >>remix version of this song? I used to have the vinyl but someone stoled it. >Wasn't there a Canadian compilation that had the 12" version on it? I know that the regular mix of Change Your Mind is available on CD in various formats, and the 12" mix was available on the Canadian 12" single of the song. The Canadian release of Exhibition on 2 CDs only included the regular mix of the song, if at all (I don't remember if it was included, but definitely the 12" remix was not.) So to my knowledge, the 12" remix was never made available on CD. If anyone cares to tell Todd this, I'd appreciate it. And just to make your mouths water, I do have this Canadian 12" single, and also a promo version of it with the 12" remix on both sides. Still waiting for the instrumental album...
