So if any of you fear making the Q&A session too cumbersome, now's your chance to ask a question of Gary without worry. Remember to email your questions to me, with a subject line of "Gary's Qs" and to include your whereabouts so Gary can see where these questions are coming from. I may be scarce for a while --------------------------- I am frantically trying to finish writing my dissertation in order to graduate next month so I may not be posting or answering questions for a while. I will however continue to read the Digest - I've got to take a break now and then :-) Derek -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Derek H. This band never existed, and was a hoax band which flirted with the music press just as 'romo' was beginning to be hyped. The people behind it got bored with the stunt and decided to kill the band off in a press release to NME and Melody Maker. Both papers were taken in... Anyway..it was just a sick little joke, so don't take any notice of it. Andy ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Apr 1996 19:39:47 -0700 From: fangorn@ix.netcom.com (James Heyser ) Subject: To: numan@cs.uwp.edu I have just learned from a disgruntled ex-communicated Numan Network Web Site Author whom I will not name, that Joey Lindstrom is proposing an exclusive, secret 'mini Gary Numan newsgroup' for Numan Network Web Site Authors only. I was just wondering if I was worthy enough to be included, or do I have to join the secret club? I was wondering if Joey would care to explain how common Gary Numan fans like myself could join? And why is it so secretive? I'd hate to be lumped with these common fans who are only able to receive the regular Numan Digest. I went to Joey's World Wide Web site that is a part of The Numan Network to see if I could learn more about it. But the only thing that I found there were advertisements for Internet Service Providers that told me to surf the net the right way, local radio stations that I'll never be able to hear, Linkstar, Global Net Cafe's, The HTML Writers Guild, Local Calgary Businesses and an advertisement or two that I can't seem to remember. The sign said I was at the best looking site ever, Once I got through all the advertisements I realised that it was a Gary Numan site afterall. But there was no mention of this secret 'mini Numan newsgroup'. Why is that? Joey, Please send me more information. I'd really like to know more. Thanks in advance. In terms of job security Joey you've got nothing to worry about, like a marathon athlete, your mouth never stops running. As far as your decision to exclude 'The Joy Circuit' from your Numan Network Country Club, with it's proposed secret e-mail address good enough only for the eyes of Numan Web Site Authors, and it's pretentious I'm a Numan Web Author so that makes me better than everyone else mentality. I am delighted to not be part of such a group. Sincerely, John Marques Carramao ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Apr 1996 23:37:35 GMT From: Laurent Somers Subject: Oh Joey. I think that Gary should use jewel cases for all future releases especially when you consider how fantastic the artwork for Premier Hits looks. He could use this space for the new symbol he likes (so do I)or for a photo(s) for the EXILE album. As CD cases are much smaller than vinyl albums the artwork is not as impressive and therefore I believe it makes far more sense to use as much space as possible to make these cases and booklets as visually attractive and stunning as has been proven by Polygram TV. A friend of mine has told me that the new symbol that Gary is using at present is the symbol for Psychology. She's a graduate of psychology so I believe her.My final word for now is in praise of Joey Lindstrom's excellent and wonderfully detailed report of his visit to England. An absolute pleasure to read, his enthusiasm and passion is joyous and I'm delighted he enjoyed his visit so much. A special 'well done' goes out to Joey Lindstrom for the excellent coverage of his trip abroad. Joey, your writing was detailed, exciting and creative. It reminded me of Matt Holbrook's wonderful entries. (BTW -Matthew, aren't you late for the next story? Bring it on) Brava. Kudos and all that good stuff. Keep it up! and Keep the faith!
