I'd love to make a swap with anyone with those boots. For that matter, if anyone wants to trade any Numan boots, drop me a message. Cheers! The Machman (Bootman) :-))) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 19 Feb 1997 14:40:36 PST From: "Ryan Arlin Potter" Subject: Returns and salutations To: numan@cs.uwp.edu Dear Derek and Datta Production, My name is Ryan A. Potter; I live in Oregon and am a student at Western Oregon State College studying English. Thank you for adding me to the Numan Digest. I have been listening to Gary for around fifteen years. He has always been one of my favorite artists, but there are many other artists and bands that I enjoy listening too. Among some of my other favorites are: Micheal Hedges, James Horner, Bolt Thrower, Japan, Fu Manchu, David Sylvian, and Leo Kottke. As you can see I am into many styles of music -- but I will always consider Gary Numan to be my favorite. I play a bit of guitar, a bit of bass, and can fake it on the drums when needed. Some of my friends and I play music together when we can find the time. Numan fans seem to rare in my area, so I sometimes feel a little isolated. It is nice to be able to read from, and about, other Numan fans on the internet and through groups like the Numan Digest. Thank you, Ryan A. I recently had a look at the current februar issue of the german VISIONS music magazine. As I saw the band name 'Gravity Kills' and I remembered immediately that gary is at the moment a great fan ot this band. So I had a look at the article. Nothing special until I came accross following: The keyboarder of GK, Douglas Firley, mentioned that he heard much stuff of Gary Numan and New Order in former times. This would be a great thing BUT they wrote Gary Newmann !!! Yes, these fools are everywhere in the world! By, Markus P.S.: I also recently heard the Foofighters version of DITP and I found it really interesting altough someone had mentioned it were very bad. Clearly the best DITP version I heard is from the german indie band 'Girls under Glass' ! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Feb 1997 19:10:37 -0600 From: ___ Subject: WHERE TO FIND NUMAN CD'S IN ST. I have the orange vinyl copy and heard there was suppose to be a green vinyl 12" release with different mixes of "Cars" than the orange vinyl 12". Anyone know?
