Has anyone else noticed this? I'm really interested in this...how can I get more information?? Is it possible to join in for *part* of the tour? I might only have about 1 week available... Anyone pls email me or post to the digest with info. Thanks! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Mar 1997 10:24:37 -0500 (EST) From: Keith Dawe Subject: Nash the Slash on CD! To: numan@cs.uwp.edu Hi, A note for Nash the Slash fans. After a long absence from the CD market, Nash the Slash has finally re-issued some of his old material onto CD. It's called 'Blind Windows, which includes both albums 'Bedside Companion' (the 45 rpm version) and 'Dreams and Nightmares', all re-mastered using the Sonic Solutions No-Noise System. And as a bonus, the songs from 'Bedside Companion' are featured again but in 33 rpm(!). Song listing: Fever Dream, Masquerade, Blind Windows, The Million-Year Picnic, Islands, Ylla, The Chase, Un Chien Andalou, Blind Windows/Countervail, Mooncurse, Lost Lenore, 'Til Death Do Us Part. Nash has put this CD out himself so I suspect that distribution is extremely limited. If you are interested, either I can help or try Nash's web-site at web.idirect.com/~nashthe/ --Omega -------------------------------------------------- omega@torfree.net - Proud member of #SkAS# Skuld Appreciation Society, Goddess of De-buggers! -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Mar 1997 15:11:16 -0500 From: brezniakdavid@webtv.net (David Brezniak) Subject: Numan Tour *97 To: numan@cs.uwp.edu I, too, would like to see Gary live this year, as I never have. My only problem is I am legally blind (I can see quite well) and airports terrify me! I love to fly, though. I just need someone to help with the "mobility" end of it (reading the flight schedules on the TV screens is impossible). If anyone from the New England (USA) area is planning to go on this little venture then please let me know. I do also welcome any suggestions from anyone out there. Feel free to e-mail me also. I think it would be a great time for all, and definitely worth every penny of it! We have to support Gazza just to show him we in the USA are behind him 100%! Thanks for the time, Cheers! If so, would you be willing to transcribe it onto the Digest ? Andy ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Mar 1997 17:44:00 -0500 From: "Dobson, Larry" Subject: Sunday Times Article To: Gary Numan Greetings, I just picked up a copy of The Sunday Times (from London) for 09 March and the included "STYLE" magazine has a 2 page spread on Gazza. The article is really quite favourable, so much so I had to read 3 times to make sure there was not a hidden slight or slant against him. The header reads, "Gary Numan, a star of the 1980s, looks set to be 1997's most surprising hit". It also mentions that Gary and Gemma are to be married in August; this was new, I think. This will cause much wailing and consternation amongst the female Numanoids. Personally, I think Gemma has been good for Gary, although I doubt he will be seeking my opinion on it. For those who are interested in doing the U.K. visit to see some of Gary's shows; keep it coming. Joey Lindstrom in the Digest for 09 March mentionned the Numanoids on Tour coach trip. This sounds quite good and probably should be explored furthur. I will be going as part of a travel agent's familiarization trip, so may not be able to do the coach trip, but I will be taking in at least one show, that's for damn sure. Take care everyone, Larry B. DOBSON ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Mar 97 09:46:00 GMT From: Matthew Tamea Subject: UP THE AISLE To: "'Numannews'" So Gary and Gemma are engaged...according to The Sunday Times...and will marry in August. Nice one, and about time too! :) Matthew ------------------------------ End of Gary Numan Digest ******************************
