Subject: *Wanted: Numan Concert Videos* To: numan@cs.uwp.edu (Gary Numan) *Wanted: Numan Concert Videos* Does anyone know if there was ever a commercial video release of the "Teletour" or "I Assassin" concerts. I remember seeing a snippet of "Down in the Park" from the Teletour: it was part of the movie Uuurrrgh! a music war. So I'm thinking that an entire video was released. Commercial or bootleg quality is fine. E-mail me diectly if you have it or know where I can get it. I have a lot of Numan stuff to trade but I'd rather buy it directly. Thanks and my apologies to JAD for the mix up. Mitchell A. In Nu-Zone Mathew Holbroock displayed a cover, which I found really great: http://www.nuzone.org.uk/numnews.html but yesterday I saw a version at germans Radio FFN (incl. a review: 6 of 10 points) which looks quit different (ugly): http://www.radioffn.de/gw/cd-kritiken/19971008/html/GaryNuman_Exile.html I really hope that the one at Radio FFN is only the version that have been delivered as demo EXILE version, and the version we ALL get on monday, the 20th will be the one at Nu-Zone!!! by, Markus from Nuremberg/Germany ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Oct 1997 22:21:25 +1000 From: Robert Subject: Gary Numan Digest V1 #372 To: Gary Numan I've now completely duplicated my Gary Vynal collection with CD's. Still I never have taken any notice of any review but made my own mind up. These so called professional people are often so far removed from the intended audience of the work that I do not know how they manage to keep their jobs. (Do you think I am being to subtle??). I have tried to select a top 5 of my fav' Numan tunes and it has been impossible so here are just a few; 1. We are Glass 2. Cars 3. Metal 4. Me I Disconnect from you 5. Complex 6. Noise Noise 7. Music for chameleons 8. Warriors 9. Love and Napalm 10. Down in the park 11. Deadliner and the list goes on and on. I am expecting to go the the Bristol show on the 27th Oct. and hope to see some of you there. (You know you're loved, Nick. *hug and kisskiss*) > I can still see him waving the Union Jack :-) > money loads of money Hmmm...can't see why anyone would be on the side of making money. I myself am for being poor and destitute my entire life. Or at least that's the way the IRS would like to see me. Nicky, my dear, what on earth do you do for a living and will you kindly stop making money at it? > > Fact 3 : His favoured politician at the moment happens to be Tony > > Blair. > > Surprise Surprise :-) > Gary had to say that to offset previous damage. > he's jumped on the popularity bandwagon :-( > can't you see that ? Um....Gary? Popularity bandwagon? Doesn't seem to be his strong suit any more than it is yours, Nick, darling. But then again, we Yanks seem to like Tony because he can look so earnest, which our President seems to fail misreably at even when he manages to be telling the truth, so why you Brits like him is not quite evident to us. Not that he's not worth liking, we're just more shallow. Heck, most of us would be hard pressed to tell you who the Canadian PM is, much less bother ourselves with overseas politics. Oh, and BTW, a lot of us are still burdened with a bit of admiration for "Iron-Britches" Thatcher, despite some apparent domestic policy foibles she pulled in office, so Gary's previous support of her is no problem over here. But heck again, we re-elected a man who is currently being sued for sexual harrassment and investigated for pulling a real estate scam. > don't be surprised when Gary mysteriously disappears on his round. No problem...he'd probably be buying milk anyway..... Keep those fangs sharpened, Foxxie =) Peace, Lyssa Extra Note, off-subject a bit. I've seen a couple of praising references to South Park in the Digest. Now I've only seen one show, which completely turned me off. Granted, I defended Gary's use of the literary twist on "God's Children" previously, but I can't see how you can condone a show which finds as a source of humor one child killing another with an assault rifle. Let's hope that when it comes time for export the Brit censors find South Park as offensive as I did. Shock humor and bad taste are one thing, ala Beavis & Butthead, South Park is just beyond all that. -- Tearin it up..I'm living on empty...
