With all the current flame wars, pissing, moaning, and a genuine rancid "I'm closer to so-and-so than you" goth-type behavior, I thought I was back on The Sisters of Mercy Mailing List.... "Home of The Hitmen" kicks ass.... ;) To the few of you who do manage to post with a sense of humor (and intelligence), thanks.... I haven't had time to drop my own nickels on the intellectual table in the past few weeks, but do keep it up. Please. (I like getting intelligent email with my spam....) Having had a few minutes spare, I have had a go at working out what the message on the back of the CD case is. Now I could be wrong, but I think it says "fuckoff". That'll teach me. The only song i don't have on that whole list is empty bed empty heart....but i'm not gonna buy the album just for that one song. wish the song was sold as a cd single, but that will never happen. Does anyone have any idea of what kind of sound the new album is going to have? will it sound like sacrifice, exile, or the old stuff? i wonder. Thanx again Numanoids. :-> ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Nov 1999 20:22:38 +0000 From: Simon Mark Joseph Subject: Footy, Numan...I'm gonna do the lottery To: The digest Date: In the year of our digitally remastered anniversary very super sexy special edition, 1999. Very big day next Saturday. Not only is god making his last apparition of the millennium, but England are going to stuff the sweaty socks:-) Any chance of making the pub that we meet in one with a TV. A big fuck off one would be cool. Maybe some of the locals could advise. Have to be quick though... only two posts until N-day. Hey isn't that new nine inch nails album on the edge. Nice if Mr Webb (and i don't mean Cliff) took the same rout (English pronunciation of rout please:-)) My flat mate is playing strange charm at the moment. Camera pans to Mr Chapman smiling smugly into his screen. Noting this Simon turns the volume down to avoid a wall of 'its never too late to educate type posts' Me, I disconnect from you......... I do not remember anyone talking about it, but the reviewer likes Numan, even though she does not mention much about his new stuff. She does point out he is still musically active, and gives a link to Nuworld and Cleo, http://80music.about.com/entertainment/music/80music/library/artist/bl_artist062599.htm Also, was in a book store the other day, with my Metal Rythym concert shirt on, and someone made positive remarks to me. I was in Indianapolis, and he said that he tried to make it to the Chicago show, but missed it. He stated that he did not care too much for Exile, but that he had not heard Sacrafice. Kinda nice to hear someone have something positive to say about Numan here in the middle of nowhere. I'll bet Troy Waters felt that same way for years until the internet helped give us all a means to meet each other. To: "Numan Digest" Hey all. I have to say, I believe Exile to be a great album, dark or not. I feel it gets back to the Numan music of yesterday that I remember. Even Gary says about the same. Does anyone have a CD quality copy of the EXTENDED (12") We Take Mystery To Bed? Anyone willing to send it to me in MP3 or WAV or however? I need it, bad! Thanks.
