So when I came across a used copy I grabbed it, and like the entire CD. Other vocals are supplied by Bob Mould, Clare Grogan (Altered Images/Red Dwarf), Sally Timms (Mekons) and Marc Almond (Soft Cell) to mention only a few. it's worth a listen, t3rry ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 09 Jan 2001 22:03:22 +0000 From: vickers@netcomuk.co.uk Subject: Drat! To: Gary Numan At 8.45 tonight, my wife looked in our inbox. Her sister had emailed her earlier to ask whether I would be watching Channel 5 at 8.00 p.m. I looked in the 'Radio Times' and sure enough, 'rock star Gary Numan' was listed as a guest on a programme I had never heard of, 'Stars and Cars'. Anybody see it? As for the Brussel concert in november, Gary and the band were fabulous. What energy on stage ! The audience was unfortunately not at their level ! This is why I don't want to miss the next UK Tour where the venue is full of fans and not full of common people !' To: Numan Digest Potential Pick-up Lines At A Numan Gig: Hi there, I'd like you to meet my little electric friend. You're so hot you're melting my plastic jacket! If you've lost your virginity, could I have the box it came in? Hi, the voices in my head told me to come talk to you. Do you know the difference between "Conversations" and "The Pleasure Skin"? No? So you want to go somewhere and talk?" Is it hot in here or is it just you? I threw my teddy bear on stage, now I'm lonely. Would you sleep with me? Are you religious? Cause I'm the answer to all your prayers! Am in Dead Heaven? Cause you must be my Dark Angel. If its true that we are what we eat, then I could be you by morning. My name is ______. Just remember that, so you'll know what to scream later. Would you like Gin and plantonic, or would you prefer Scotch and sofa? Hi. I suffer from amnesia. Do I come here often? (Motion your finger for the girl/boy to come over to you, and when they get there say) "I just made you come with one finger, imagine what I could do with my whole hand! I must be lost. I thought paradise was further south. Hi, my name's coffee, 'cause I'll keep you up all night! Hey baby, I'm a musician too ....wanna come see my organ? Hey baby, I'm a musician too ....come home with me and see a great pianist! That shirt's very becoming on you. If I were on you, I'd be coming too. Nice boots. Wanna fuck? (Look at his/her shirt label. When they ask, "What are you doing?" reply:) "Just checking to see if you were made in heaven." Pardon me, is there a mirror in your pocket? Because I keep seeing myself in your pants. That's a nice shirt. Can I talk you out of it? That dress looks great on you. As a matter of fact, so would I. Her: What do you think of this (dress, sweater, blouse, etc.) Him: I like nothing better. You look ravishing in black, did you know that? Are the straps too tight, darling? What you need right now is a nice backrub. Do you wash your panties with Windex? I keep seeing myself in them. Are those space pants? 'Cause your ass is out of this world! Excuse me, is that dress felt? No? Would you like it to be? Is that a ladder in your panties or the stairway to heaven? Have you ever kissed a rabbit between the ears? (Pull your pockets inside out....) Hi, I'm conducting a feel test to see how many women here have pierced nipples... After the gig: How about you and I go back to my place and get out of these wet clothes? My face is leaving in 10 minutes... be on it. Pardon me, I was just about to go home and masturbate, and I was wondering if you would mind if I fantasised about you? Numan's next album will be called "Legs." Let's go back to my place and spread the word. Your outfit would look great in a crumpled heap on my bedroom floor tomorrow morning. I probably have only half of Gary's regular albums (between both records and CDs), and It'll be years before I can buy all the reissued CDs. Hopefully some Good Samaritan or two will be willing to part with their old vinyls for two or three bucks each (and of course a little more for CDs). I can trade any of the first four albums for ones that I need (I've got Dance and I, Assassin on record too but can't trade them yet). I also have the Living Ornaments record box set that I could record on cassette & trade for a used album, for anyone not having those live CDs yet. OR, I can send a list of all my non-numan albums if someone wants to make a trade that way (granted, they're all late seventies-early eighties). Looking especially for albums/CDs after Warriors, the I Assassin/Telekon hybrid CD or Double CD, and The Plan album. e-mail me personally with any response.
