To: digest@GaryNumanFan.NU, Ms Ziza Pankov DEAR FELLOW NUMANOIDS, About a week ago, I was shopping in a thrift store and I began browsing in the used junk lp section. I stumbled across the rare lp of "NEW MAN NUMAN THE BEST OF GARY NUMAN". Obviously I bought it fot the 75 cents that they wanted for it, but it made me think. First of all, those of you that have the compilation know that everyone of those songs is awesome right? right! This is an early greatest hits that was put out by him, before the hundreds of best of's of today!!! But what I was thinking is wouldnt it be great if they released this on cd just the way it is on vinyl?with the same songs and artwork? Man, the more I thought of this, the more I got excited. I think I got wood thinking about it!!!! seriously! What I then did was go home and look at my own collection of numan and decided well, lets do this. I have created 6 NEWMAN NUMAN THE BEST OF GARY NUMAN on compact disc. They are incredible. I have every one of these songs on cd already so i simply made the compilation, and I made the artwork from the cover of the vinyl. If you saw this cd I made, you would not be able to tell it is not an original. For those of you who are interested i have one for myself and 5 left. for those of you who are not familiar with this album it has the following tracks: are friends electric? cars we are glass complex me, I disconnect from you down in the park i die, you die she's got claws love needs no disguise this wreckage stormtrooper in drag we take mystery to bed music for chameleons white boys and heros now for an added thing for the cd version, what i did is i put the 12" mix of we take mystery to bed( longer version plus extra lyrics)and I also put the longer unedited version of music for chameleons( longer version and extra lyrics) you will not find this anywhere else. I know this is a cd-r of the album, but then again one of my prized peices of numan is a cdr of the photograph compilation! If done right these can make a wonderful addition to any numan collection!!!!!!! You can't deny that!!! anyways,If you are interested please let me know before I get rid of them. The artwork is truly amazing!! the best work I have ever done. In fact I thinking of buying one off myself!!!!!!lol i am at www.butholius@yahoo.com or me atwww.butholius@home.com get one before they are gone good luck a friend called five ===== TONY RODRIGUEZ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Although I think that jonathan Ross's show is rather good most of the time. I was however listening to his show the day after I was last at 'Gary's concert in Brixton. Unfortunately Jonathan tore into the 'Pure' album with quite vicious critisism, which I thought was very harmful and damaging to Gary's career. I would not welcome the thought to hear him do this to Gary's face on air. However, subsequent to that show I did write to Radio 2 and to Jonathan Ross, expressing my anger as a long term fan. So maybe a few others did too. So consequently Jonathan may now think twice before airing his unjustified remarks about Gary's work. I remember Steve Wright interviewing Gary one saturday morning about three years ago on radio 2 and they got on really well, it was a great interview. So let's hope ! Check the wording of the programme guide. She changed her name so that her too careers were kept seperate ie Claire Crogan "the singer" and CP Crogan "the actress". Like Gary Webb "son of Beryl" and Gary Numan "singer". Original message : No, no, no, no...tut tut! CP Grogan changed her name from Clare Grogan to CP Grogan to *avoid* comparisons and mixups with the singer Clare Grogan. Just call me a smeghead! Along with the ballad album, the accoustic album and the instrumental album (remember those). Yes, I always wanted the instrumental one for certain. The closest we got was with Human. With his new heavier darker sound, it would reall be a prime time to release a fan club only, or limited release issue of something like this.
