Clea. If you know Sauchiehall street then you can find the "Garage"as this is the street it is on,admittedly the other end of the street though(you cant miss it,it has a large truck protruding from the wall above the door!!)Even John peel gave the venue as The Garage and I guess that the tickets will be valid without swapping, this is the norm when bands switch venues in Glasgow, plenty of bars near the garage but it is an all standing affair, first come to the front!!,so I dont know as yet!!,maybe get to say Hi! in person this year, missed you by minutes in 97,you did speak to my friend T.J. though!! Maybe the novelty of email is wearing off a bit for some people, or maybe everybody is happy since Pure came out, and feel that it is up to the record companies, DJs, etc., to spread the word. I am sorry to say that, despite my long-term optimism for the sales of 'Pure', I have still only managed to get two other people to buy it! I have been lending it to pupils at school, and others are beginning to ask now, but I think they will actually have to see one in a record shop to want to buy it. And as for the tour edition killing the sales of the regular version, well, I really don't think it matters which one sells. I went into a record shop today, and they had no record of the tour edition on their computer. Mind you, they had sold out of the regular one again, and the girl serving me confirmed that it is selling steadily... I picked up the tour edition at the next shop, where I managed to get the original edition. Paddy Vickers P.S. Can anyone get me a copy of the John Peel session? ------------------------------ End numan@garynumanfan.nu Digest (02/09/2001 18:01) --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- T H E G A R Y N U M A N D I G E S T is produced, moderated, and distributed by Derek Langsford, Dave Datta, and Joey Lindstrom dlangs@sunstroke.sdsu.edu, datta@cs.uwp.edu, Joey@GaryNumanFan.NU ------------------------------------------------------------------- To reply to the messages in this list, email: numan@GaryNumanFan.NU If you want to be removed, or someone wants to be added, email: listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include this line as the first line of your message body: SUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) or UNSUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) (email address is optional but useful if you have multiple addresses) If you want to switch between receiving Digests or individual posts, again send to listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include either of these in your message body: NORMAL numan@garynumanfan.nu or DIGEST numan@garynumanfan.nu ------------------------------------------------------------------ Please note: this mailing list is configured to automatically unsubscribe you if mail to your mailbox goes undeliverable for any reason.
