I can't seem to play the stream from the BBC website via my computer. I guess my modem is too damn slow... Any help in getting these files (in any format) would be greatly appreciated :-) Jeff Tolva (The Machman) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Feb 2001 23:14:46 EST From: Zerfboy@aol.com Subject: US Tour --part1_e.8a97a74.27b61a36_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I don't know about you other folks but we are truly looking forward to the announcement of the US tour dates. Each day we peruse our email (and other sources) with baited breathe hoping for the long awaited itinerary. Having just missed the 98' affair, literally by days, well you can imagine. Anyway, would like to see some hypothesizing about where and what venues GARY will land at. As we are coming out of North Carolina (home of SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS) and trying to drive to shows, we have some limitations. Venues/locations to hope for: Irving Plaza/NY, 930 Club/DC, Boston, Philly, Norfolk, VA/The Norva, Charlotte and Raleigh, and, of course, the Outer Banks (where we live.) We hope we ALL can arrange some group get togethers pre/post show to celebrate Gary's return to our shores. C'mon Numanboy, set up the parties! Cheers! I've recording things before, but somehow I mucked it up this time! If anyone can send me a copy, I am happy to reimburse them. Maybe someone would like a copy of the Forces radio programme from a couple of years ago? Has any one got a good quality (FM stereo) recording they could burn to cd or zip. Obviously I can get the Real Audio version from the radio1 web site but the quality is a bit low. Can i say Hi to Steve Wade if u r reading this cantact me please mate. Just a comment on the new CD pack... I like the live versions very much but sadly i feel the funk'ed up dance re-mixes have missed the point. Prayer for the Unbourn gets good but only half way through and Listen to my voice is a tremendous loss of an oppertunity. It is perhaps the most commercial tune on the CD and the re-mix has totally missed the point making the Numan element in it so obscure that they could have sampled the telly tubbies and no one who doesnt know numan would have been any the wiser... Shame really as i do like the Trance dance stuff ... pherhaps it would have been better if Numan had done the re-mix all him self. Look forward to seeing some of you in southampton on wednesday. I ordered mine from Amazon over a week ago, and theres still no sign of it. Plus there are other people I know who have ordered it from other Net sellers, and they too have receieved nothing yet. Theres no sign of it in many shops either. Have Eagle messed up here, miscalculated demand, or just been far too slow on distribution?? Whatever it is, I'm still waiting. Anyone else suffering?
