I noticed a few days gap in the dates and I am hoping the Numan entourage will tromp through Boston - hopefully at a larger venue like the Paradise (saw the Damned there on Halloween 99 and had a blast with the band at the pub next door afterwards!). The Middle East was, in Gary's words "too small". Unless he is doing shameless promotion and can't seem to book a show during those days... I and quite a few other Swamp Yanks would be very upset if he skips Boston (although if he played the fantastic Providence he would do well at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel. Party and limo on me if he does. Yes, the city does kinda look like the show "Providence" but only during those 5 fantastic fall days that they film!). Anyway, Hopey here has ordered her Philly tickets and marked in my vacation time on the calendar at work. I am staying with a friend there and dragging her to the show. Any pre-show freakshow set up yet for Philly? Hope the tour is going well right now and thanks to those who are feeding us info on the gigs. I hope the states gets a good support band. I took my new girlfriend to see her 1st Gary Numan show!!!!!... I bought her a copy of Pure CD when it came out and she got to like it the more she listened to it... She (like loads of 30 something people) remembers Cars etc and I was pleased when she said that she likes his new style. Any way we decided to go out early and get a pizza but at 5:30 it was still closed. so we went to TGI Fridays instead... As we sat down who should walk in abut Gary, Gemma and the band... blimey.... Any way they went to a table in a corner and I just sat and went stupid ..... well we both waved and we got a smile back.... The gig was as good as ever the venue was a bit boxy in shape and the walls were light in colour so the light show was not as effective as it could have been if the walls were a dark colour. all of the tunes were great (I would like to hear some from dance and assassin and it would be nice to hear we are glass again. A good night was had by all and the venue seemed quite full from where we were. Cheers all...
