Mine was probably We Take Mystery To Bed, last verse: Confiscate letters like D.E.B. (I had just come to realize I was molested (not consentual sex) by an adult female family member(I was ages 10 - 15), and DEB was BED to me) No natural course of things for her to expect (She lay in wait to see if I would or wouldn't tell on her) Withdraw the feelings you can, you can't (She left me numb about sex for many years, I had no choice in the matter) I looked at you mistaking needles for eyes (I always thought she was my heroin/saviour, little did I know what she really was) It was the only way I could express my anger for what happened to me for many years. I lived by this song and it's words. Send it out on a Sunday morning or something so we have something of real substance to read over the weekend instead of daily inconsequential mini digests. Do this and I'm sure the digest will be healthier for it. I frankly find the daily mails with 2 messages in an annoyance. Other than that it's fine. Luv on Ya!!!!! Axeman. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Mar 2001 10:58:53 -0600 From: Mr Wall Subject: nightmares are real and deceiving Debate is irrelevant. The word has gone forth. You either hear it or you do not. Neither will affect its truth. Numan is the herald of the coming age. Numan announced the replacement of humans with machines, and the replacement of machines with humans. It has become time for us to serve them. The matrix, cynically dismissed as celluloid fantasy, is real. Corporations, a fictional invention ostensibly created to serve the needs of human beings, now have rights while human beings are diminished. Canadians attempting to secure nationalized auto insurance to protect their citizenry are denied in deference to the profits of insurance companies. South Africans attempting to create generic AIDS medications to combat human illness are denied in deference to the profits of pharmaceutical companies. Tibetan farmers now must pay royalties on the crops they have grown for centuries that have now been patented by companies that had nothing to do with their cultivation nor discovery. Corporations have rights. Property has rights. Humans are only means to an end. There is nowhere left to hide; no safety in old glories. Numan has foretold our dehumanization. Neither condemning it nor praising it, Numan has simply named what we are becoming. * * * "I'm afraid of Americans ...God is an American" --Bowie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Mar 2001 20:29:56 -0000 From: "Jules Seifert" Subject: Trainspotting Sad, but True, Spotted Mr. Numan (+1) last night at the London Camden Monarch, attending the Sulpher gig.
