OK, Being both a long time member of the Digest, as well as a rather passive member this issue has prompted me to finally comment. I vote for a weekly digest if at all possible. I am finding the daily message too much to keep up with, along with so many other messages that I receive. I have to admit that with the US Tour starting it is nice to get information daily but I will probably unsubscribe otherwise shortly. Joey, I respect your position and hope that you can somehow come up with an option for us - sounds like a real mess if you do end up reverting back to the old 486 system! I wish I could offer a suggestion but I cannot, therefore my vote... OK, Good news - A large group of us are meeting up at the Royal Oak Brewery before the R.O. Show - For those seeing this show, please stop by say hi! Once again, we are getting Digests worth reading. Varied, and a bit more of a sensible length. Keep it coming, everybody! He then went on to talk about Don't Call My Name. For those who don't know it is about someone who dies before their partner, and doesn't want their partner's life to just stop because of this. Gary has often thought of having this at his funeral. Well, I have already tried to arrange exactly that. I sent a letter to my brother, asking that this song be included in my funeral, and telling him which album it is on. I actually find this personal lyrics thread very interesting.... DCMN is one really inspiring and moving song......one of two Numan songs I completely agree with being appropriate representations of dying...the other being "Child with a Ghost", of course. I still consider Metal Rhythm to be a highly underrated Numan CD......the US version just doesn't quite measure up to the UK Metal Rhythm although the US version of Devious (it IS different, isn't it??) is pretty damn cool as is the remix of My Dying Machine on that CD :) Rick in DC (up VERY late after a night of drinking entirely too much) --part1_c3.efefcb6.27edca8d_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In a message dated 3/23/2001 8:06:07 PM Eastern Standard Time, MDaemon@garynumanfan.nu writes: A track that means a lot to me is Don't Call My Name from Metal Rhythm.  I play this a lot when anyone that I know dies, and I often think I would like it played at my own funeral.  The sentiments are really unusual in a song and yet they just make perfect sense.  It really is a very moving song.
