Having a Daily Digest means up to the minute news, such as tour dates, etc. It's also easier to read Digests with 4-5 posts than one long one of 15-20 posts. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Mar 2001 10:17:32 -0800 From: Mark Subject: Timely postings Well, I think everyone has their reasons for wanting a dige in either daily or other format. For me, I can not honestly see how daily is a problem. They are usually so short, and nearly all email programs put you incoming email into a date line. Thus, even if one did not read their emails daily, they could still read them in order, several days at a time, and take less than 4 or 5 minutes. Currently, it takes me less that 1 minute to read each digest as it comes through, and the nice thing with it being daily, to me, it that it feels more like real time. I get nearly 300 emails a day between work, and the news groups I belong to. Trust me, this daily digest is a very small consumer of time to read. BUT, I am not suggesting that those that want it another way do not have their reasons, just that I think that a LTO is being asked of Joey after all of his work to get it that way it is. In all reality, there is no need for him to even do all this work at all. He could have very well moved to dige over to say Yahoo groups or something like that. Have all kinds of optionw, but then we would have to contend with advertisements, yahoo sign in troubles, you name it. Well, just my thoughts on this anyway.
