This meant that they would show Gary >singing Praying to the aliens and Cars live and they had the opportunity to >digitally record it. Did this ever happen and is it available? SNL reruns are regularlly shown on the Comedy Central network. They have never gone back as far as 1980. In fact I emailed someone who follows SNL releases (video, cable, etc) and he indicated these old tapes have never been made available. I'm thinking he said the earliest shows now on video release is something like 1984. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2001 11:51:17 From: "William Wilson" Subject: Thats more like it!! Arrived. He is here, on this continent. He has begun his scorched-earth journey across the landscape. The land will not be the same. It is time for the faithful to hear the call, like an air raid siren calling to arms. We can attempt to prepare by insinuating ourselves before our stereo speakers, spurring them on to greater levels of cacophany until his most terrible sampled shrieks burn like pneumatic drills into our cracking skulls. But it will never be enough. We must answer the call. He needs our pain to show. We are beyond judgement, beyond damnation, beyond salvation. Are you afraid, dear listener? We have no more security to cling to but the sound: his whispers and machines. Now even the shadows talk to us. For us so sick with need he is the wandering cure, searching for his disciples, dark angels. Your song I have not forgotten, Numan. I'm yours. * * * "With a fire from the fireworks up above With a gun for a lover and a shot for the pain You run for cover in the temple of love But shine like thunder, cry like rain" --Sisters ------------------------------ End numan@garynumanfan.nu Digest [04/18/2001 18:01] --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- T H E G A R Y N U M A N D I G E S T is produced, moderated, and distributed by Derek Langsford, Dave Datta, and Joey Lindstrom dlangs@sunstroke.sdsu.edu, datta@cs.uwp.edu, Joey@GaryNumanFan.NU ------------------------------------------------------------------- To reply to the messages in this list, email: numan@GaryNumanFan.NU If you want to be removed, or someone wants to be added, email: listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include this line as the first line of your message body: SUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) or UNSUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) (email address is optional but useful if you have multiple addresses) If you want to switch between receiving Digests or individual posts, again send to listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include either of these in your message body: NORMAL numan@garynumanfan.nu or DIGEST numan@garynumanfan.nu ------------------------------------------------------------------ Please note: this mailing list is configured to automatically unsubscribe you if mail to your mailbox goes undeliverable for any reason.
