Night Live Info. & host --part1_be.131f93cb.280f8d85_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit To all that care or were wondering, Elliot Gould was the HOST for SNL when Gary played live in 1980. I saw a rerun on late night TV about 10 yrs. ago and since then have been wondering when the older reruns were going to get played again. 1984 to the present does seem to be the only reruns that are played unfortunately. I too have tried Comedy Central's web site and have had no luck. Gary & the band looked like zombie freaks. It ruled!! If anybody ever finds out when Gary on SNL is getting aired, let's use this digest to spread the word. Can't wait for Chicago!! Up to now I had seen nothing at all, except that Pure was = available.....then Gary announced he was playing Montreal :) after 21 = years!!!! still nothing in the media , or very little. Now we had the Canadian chat on the 18th, even if Gary is only playing = in 2 cities, here and Toronto. And guess what ? the media picked up the = story today on the 19th. Both the mainstream and alternative papers feature either full blown = articles or interviews, Pure is being advertised at a special price at = HMV, with a huge photo to go along with the add.The concert is being = well advertised, trust me ! So ....I was too quick in wanting to trash Spitfire and Gary's = promoter. It's obvious they have worked hard and dilligently, if in the = background. We don't always know. I always said Gary should come back here.Montreal is known for it's = audiences.Big groups often have to do 2 shows to cater to the demand and = I can't count how many bands launched their carreers here over the = years.Guess the perception of being a french speaking province was the = reason we didn't see him in ' 98 for the Exile tour. They probably = thought sales would not warrant a stop here. Gary's new promoter seems to know a thing or two....:) All I can hope for now is a good packed house.
