As Chicago is my home base actually. Very good show, and the H.O.B. was set up well. They have a good soundboard and audio/lighting system as well. I did see some faces that I recognized from the web as "Numan" fans, but I am rather independant being a musician myself, so I kind of hung solo. I was the quiet individual in the dresscoat standing alone on the railroad track if anyone saw me. I apologize for not introducing myself. I kind of am private as I didn't want to plug my own music, we were all there to see Gary obviously. Either way, I have met Gary on the 1998 tour and gave him a CD and was able to do the same again this time. In 1998 I had created a song dedicated to him "I come for you" so I felt the need to give him a copy at that time which is another story. Very nice of him to take the time chatting with all of us underground after the show. The poor guy was exhausted but he continued to sign autographs for each and every person who came down there. I used to live in the cylindrical towers above the house of blues and I was about to mention we should go down below, as I know how the shipping/freight setup was for the complex. Everyone figured it out fortunately, or I would have spoken up believe me as I knew that bus had to be down there. I got a good picture with Gary, and talked "shop" with Ade Orange for a piece. He is going to try to get my latest CD "Emancipation" from Gary to listen to as well. Ade & I have alot in common gear-head wise as he is quite a tech guy with equipment. Very nice fellow. I talked a bit with Gary about covering a song of his, "Airlane" and he seemed interested. I'll think some more about this, and if I do, I'll let this list know, as well as send Gary a copy. Either way, a great show for all, and for those on the last leg of the tour, the tour bus is "blue" with a yellow line design on the side. You can't miss it. Kind regards to all, and you can find what I am about if curious at either my website which is in transition, or my mp3.com promotional site. I've got the entire gigs which includes the following main setlist and encores: Intro Pure Films Rip Listen To My Voice Cars Dark Down In The Park Walking With Shadows Metal My Jesus A Question Of Faith I Can't Breathe Are 'Friends' Electric? Remind Me To Smile A Prayer For The Unborn I would rate both recordings at "very good" as the sound captured on my DAT was outstanding. Of course, it helps using $70 stereo microphones as well. In any case, I would be interested in trading chrome tape copies of these gigs for other recent bootlegs which I don't already have. I don't have much either, so I'd be up for just about any trade. E-mail your list directly if you'd like to make a trade. Very light, very sparse... not nearly as dark as it should/could be. Travelling a very different road to Numan now I feel. It will be interesting to see what eveyone makes of it.
