I think I arrived from the bar after they had been on, which is unusual for me as I do like to watch support acts generally. Little Hell were ok, I enjoyed Manikin last year, and Yen - how could I forget them? I bought 2 singles! The 93 tour support was supposed to be not Toyah, but her backing band... a bit like Dig supporting John Foxx. Though I know Toyah and Gemma are friends now maybe Gary could ask her to support one year (I am a sucker for Toyah, love her to bits) Bis were the Exile Tour support at Manchester IIRC - I knew them from Top of the Pops, they didn't go down too well but they must be fans (they are on random, too) and I quite enjoyed their half-hour. Let Loose at the time were quite a big act - certainly a bigger act than Gary Numan commercially, and were different from other boy bands in that they wrote their own songs and played their own instruments. It was the drummer, Lee, who was the big Numan fan in the band. I met them at the after show party and they were a thoroughly nice bunch of lads. Nash the Slash did the Teletour support slot - the whole tour, I think. He also played on The Joy Circuit on that tour and at Wembley in 81. Since the Teletour was my first ever gig, that makes Nash the Slash my first ever experience of live music :) I bought two of his singles on the strength of that tour. Tik and Tok were by far the most popular support act. I still love them. Freak UK were the support on the Emotion Tour. I met Mik a few times and he deserved to be a big star. I organised a Numan disco in Manchester about 6 months after the Emotion Tour and Freak UK came and played. Both Mik and Tony were very decent and they played for free. Ahhh, the Numan disco's :) Some of those were great nights. The last one I went to was New Years Eve 1998/1999 in Manchester - do they still happen, does anyone know? Attendance was dropping drastically at the majority of them, I know, but they were fun all the same. Anyways, I have waffled on enough! Thanks! > In my experience, most if not all the Beggars Banquet cds are the same in the US and the UK. At least, all the ones I have, including Premier Hits, Telekon, Random, Tubeway Army, Replicas are this way, and have the UK codes (BBL7CD etc) on the discs, even though I bought them here. The Love & Rockets stuff is like that as well. I believe the US BB company imports the UK cds and sells them here, which makes them cheaper (and more available) than regular imports.
