Subject: The Seed of a Lie

I've been listening to Sacrifice driving back & forth to work for the last
month or more and the words to "The Seed of a Lie" are both so beautiful and
haunting.  It's such a shame that a song like this has received no airplay
in the US whatsoever. The same also goes for both "Absolution" and "Little
Invitro".  I'm glad to have rediscovered Numan via finding the Digest
several years ago. I hope another 3 years doesn't pass before Gary tours the
US again!  Rich

PS: When Gary tours, is it typical for him to play mainly from his latest
release or does he mix it up (I was surprised at the US song lists not
containing any songs from either Exile or Sacrifice)?  Since it seems as if
he tours more frequently in the British Isles, perhaps his fans from the
homeland can comment!

Oh, ok.  God is a queer.  There, that ought to generate some meaty arguments
;)
I do actually have an anecdote!  I went to New York (my first trip to the US
ever and I have to go like a month after Gary Numan has finished his tour
and two months befor Soft Cell start theirs... I am the king of bad timing)
and bough from the HMV at Times Squre Dark Light for $12.99 - bargain! When
I went to pay for it the guy serving me asked me if I had ever seen Gary
Numan live, to which I was able to reply 'Lots', then he informed me that
Numan was 'great' and he gave me the address of a night club which he said
played Numan - I didn't go, but it was the first time ever that someone in a
big record shop has ever complimented me on my choice of CD :)

Joey, Gary once sais that he'd rather believe in a Tolkien universe than God. 
He has read Lord Of The Rings, so there is the connection. Plus we are all 
Numan fans, so why can't we share our interests & our views on Numan or 
otherwise!

I've decided not to unsubscribe, I couldn't live without the gossiping & 
bitching, I love it!
