Thanks!!!! My 2nd all-time favorite quote (after the Time heals nothing one) is: Here an I just me and my walls to blame. Here am I, I really don't feel quite sane. Here am I still searching for my shadow in vain. Lock my door, I only think in black and white. I'll even try to look ashamed. Sorry to say, but I'm a truer fan of the 'old Gary'. I've loved him since the day I 'discovered' him ('79), but it's definately the old stuff (up to Berserker) that I appreciate more. Probably has something to do with the fact that, when I found out he got married, a little part of me died. I enjoy science as much as anyone, but I don't discount things entirely just because they have not been proven I attempt to keep my mind open. Nor do I believe things unreservedly without proof. I am not talking about God, nor about religion, perhaps about science fiction and the fallibility of man. We have just been wrong so many times, and there is so much we don't know yet. By the way, the 'science' of "survival of the fittest" did start W.W.II, And Religion didn't cause global warming, nor did it deplete the ozone, nor did it cure Polio. Science hasn't yet explained the beginning of the universe, but it has offered millions relief from affliction, which neither faith nor religion has. If I were to be real about this thing, I would say that neither Science nor Religion are responsible for these things, (good or bad), people are. Faith is not responsible for people condemning other people, nor is God. In my opinion, that responsibility lies firmly on the shoulders of bigots all over the world, who found something to hide behind. I suppose I should have known I'd step on toes. and if those toes were yours, I apologize. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 13:37:04 -0500 From: "Gean, Shawn" Subject: Favorites My favorite lyric would have to be If God has a heart he will find you...
