You may recall, 2 weeks ago, I wrote in about this new Japanese / British showcalled Banzai, which is basically a gambling show where they have strange or offensive situations you can bet on against your drunken friends, such as, two guys in full feish gimp costumes going down a waterslide, and you have to guess who will get the fastest time ("the gimp watersports challenge") or "the little ted fag flicking bet" where two drarves dressed as teddy boys have to flick cigarettes into their mouths... well. Someone on the production team is obviously a fan of Numan because they already used "Films" as the musical backing for a bet, and now, last night, they used This Wreckage in a bet where a short-sighted woman and a short sighted man had to read out the name of a song which was coming towards them on a card. The first to shout out won. The song on the card was Union of the Snake, the backing track for the challenge was This Wreckage. This is a show on a national UK tv channel - not a cable channel. There must be at least 3 million viwers each week. Friday nights, channel 4 around 11 pm - straight after South Park and Big Brother. They have a website, at http://www.channel4.com/banzai/ , and a CD of songs used in the show is apparently available. I am off to take the challenges on the site :D Antonio www.kill-by-numbers.net ------------------------------ End numan@garynumanfan.nu Digest [07/14/2001 18:01] --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- T H E G A R Y N U M A N D I G E S T is produced, moderated, and distributed by Derek Langsford, Dave Datta, and Joey Lindstrom dlangs@sunstroke.sdsu.edu, datta@cs.uwp.edu, Joey@GaryNumanFan.NU ------------------------------------------------------------------- To reply to the messages in this list, email: numan@GaryNumanFan.NU If you want to be removed, or someone wants to be added, email: listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include this line as the first line of your message body: SUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) or UNSUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) (email address is optional but useful if you have multiple addresses) If you want to switch between receiving Digests or individual posts, again send to listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include either of these in your message body: NORMAL numan@garynumanfan.nu or DIGEST numan@garynumanfan.nu ------------------------------------------------------------------ Please note: this mailing list is configured to automatically unsubscribe you if mail to your mailbox goes undeliverable for any reason.
