So there must > be an oiler that's a Numanoid out there somewhere I > guess. > and thought - this is really strange. Why? Well... I work in a factory where they have "piped in" music from who-knows-where. What's worse is, on tuesdays and thursdays it's country! 8-12 hours of that is enough to make anyone suicidal! Luckily, we have our own radios in the toolroom where I work, so we drown out the other noise. I actually took a bookshelf stereo in and I play tapes and CDs sometimes. Mostly we listen to the "modern rock" station out of Indy - for lack of a better name. And, of course, I play Numan CDs regularly. Well, one of my co-workers was upstairs in the smoking lounge for break - where you can hear the "noise" and he called down... "Can you hear the elevator music?" "No." I told him. "Well, you better get where you can hear it... They're playing Numan!" So I hung up and went out onto the production floor, and sure enough, Listen To My Voice is playing! How can this be? There's no mainstream radio air play, and it's turning up on "piped in" music?! Still... it was cool to hear. And even cooler that my co-worker knew who it was! Maybe he has been listening! That is all. I have found some pretty wide-ranging and wild stuff there but still no Gary. I know there was video shot on the recent Tour cuz' folks bragged 'bout it. Why not share it? Especially since you do not seem interested in selling it. Since Gary probably will be shopping for a new label soon, I don't expect him back in the States until 2005-so I would like something to remember him by. .. --part1_91.ee6a166.28ae4f2a_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit This week in the car 1.
