It should answer all the questions about DVDs that have been asked recently. "Gary has now taken delivery of some professional quality digital editing equipment. This will enable him to work on his own DVDs and videos. These will include the back catalogue, Touring Principle, Micro Music, Berserker, Dream Corrosion etc., old promo videos and the new Rip video to name just a few. It also opens up the opportunity of creating new DVD/Video titles incorporating recent live footage, such as a live tour video diary, and makes the creation of more promo videos for new tracks a much more realistic proposition. A Gary Numan documentary may even be possible." I have removed the spelling and grammar mistakes, such as the use of apostrophes in plurals, i.e. "video's". ;-) I hope that a re-mastered "Berserker" video includes footage of the whole concert. A lot of people were extremely disappointed that Gary chose to leave out all of the older tracks. His reasoning at the time was that people already had many of those tracks on other videos and would not be interested. It is clear from the reaction to subsequent, complete, releases of live concerts that this was not and is not the case. It is obvious from this news that DVD releases are now more dependant on Gary's time than money. Here's hoping. This means there could potentially be 99,999 copies. But I suspect the numbers are random, and there's only half a dozen of them ;-) John ------------------------------ End numan@garynumanfan.nu Digest [09/02/2001 18:01] --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- T H E G A R Y N U M A N D I G E S T is produced, moderated, and distributed by Derek Langsford, Dave Datta, and Joey Lindstrom dlangs@sunstroke.sdsu.edu, datta@cs.uwp.edu, Joey@GaryNumanFan.NU ------------------------------------------------------------------- To reply to the messages in this list, email: numan@GaryNumanFan.NU If you want to be removed, or someone wants to be added, email: listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include this line as the first line of your message body: SUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) or UNSUBSCRIBE numan@garynumanfan.nu (email address) (email address is optional but useful if you have multiple addresses) If you want to switch between receiving Digests or individual posts, again send to listserv@GaryNumanFan.NU and include either of these in your message body: NORMAL numan@garynumanfan.nu or DIGEST numan@garynumanfan.nu ------------------------------------------------------------------ Please note: this mailing list is configured to automatically unsubscribe you if mail to your mailbox goes undeliverable for any reason.
