Despite some of his Numan reviews being negative, he *did* make New Thing From London Town the Single of the Fortnight. The only other one I remember was his review of Sister Surprise, where he said it was OK but he'd 'prefer to see Numan live any day of the week' I need to dig out those reviews now... what have you started? :> On a side note, how can the man responsible for 'Being Boring' find fault in anyone elses work? I quite liked some of the Pet Shop Boys earlier singles - West End Girls, Left To My Own Devices and such, but they have, IMO, become a really bad overly-arty camp-obsessed bland pop group. While I have nothing against camp, being a fan of Marc Almond, I just don't think Neil Tennant cuts it, quite. Also - the Men and Motors show... hmm. My video broke down last week and despite my obsession for colecting anything Numan related, I wasn't too upset at not taping the first two shows. As motor shows, they are OK, worth watching once, but as there is no music (apart from the background music) and little interview time on the shows, they really aren't all that exciting unless you happen to like watching someone on his first Rally driving lesson going around a track a few times. The instrumental takes from Pure are excellent, though, and I would be happy if Gary brought out a soundtrack album for the seris.
