I believe it's their new single "Where's your head at?" It has an incredibly silly video. I heard it too....and the first words out of my mouth were "hey, that's a Numan riff." hello from rainy California, Lisa -- _______________________ obscure@blueneptune.com ------------------------------ Date: 26 Nov 2001 10:30:18 +0000 From: Steve Webbon Subject: Warriors Thanks for all your Sister Surprise answers. I vaguely remembered that it = had been remixed for the single but haven't had a chance to get to a = record player. Now the only problem is where is the master tape! I don't know where the rumour started that Beggars weren't going to = release I, Assassin and Warriors. Completely untrue. It has taken a long = while to organise collecting the original Warriors masters from Tony but = they are currently down the mastering studio being assessed, so hopefully = a spring release will be possible (only a year late...) Also the Trojan / Sanctuary release is the same old 50 songs being = endlessly recycled. These releases are the main reason why Beggars (and = Eagle) have a hard time getting proper releases into the stores. They are = aggressivly sold in, have titles like Down In The Park (though as live = versions), so the casual buyers can't tell the difference between these = and the original albums. Consequently the racks are full of Numan = recordings that don't sell so the stores won't take any others. Beggars = and Eagle worked together to leave space between releases but Trojan just = keep plugging them and confusing everyone. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Nov 2001 12:13:53 -0500 From: Michael Tressler Subject: Tessa with Berlin I recently bought a used copy of Berlin's Count Three And Pray CD, and found in the liner notes the name of Tessa Niles as a backing vocalist. Just makes me wonder if any of Gary's other backing vocalists performed with other artists. I think they all sounded great for Gary. As previous mails have mentioned, it has a different chorus to the LP version and starts with the drums and phased synth intro. Despite the label saying it's an extended version, I think it may even be the same as the 7" version. I believe the Compleat Discography may be incorrect on this one.
