Apparently in the future, dial phones make a big comeback. And why is it "oh" and not "zero". Hmm.... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Dec 2001 02:46:07 EST From: MHENSON305@aol.com Subject: we went to sleep by dialling O --part1_30.1f32e977.2945c23f_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit some fascinating theories regarding the I Dream of Wires line. I was prepared for "Where's Your Head At" (the best received song all night!) - but AFE was a major surprise! The Base boys clearly are HUGE Numan fans... Fantastic! Apart from that tho - average gig IMO - to much 'carnival' type shit towards the end, which I just can't hack... I am sorry, I have forgotten who it was, but somebody explained the other day that this is a reference to "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" Although I've never read the book, I have seen a longer discussion of which lines in the song reflect (not copy!) a science fiction work. Although there are some wonderful explanations for this line, I am pretty sure that the book reference is the correct one!
