I look forward to these things every year as it helps me find out about music 
I have not heard on the bloody awful FM rock and classic rock stations which 
permeate my existence.  The person who sent in one last week with Goldfrapp 
on it has definitely clued me into something neat I'd not heard before 
(thanks Morpheus! now if I could only find some Royskopp to download.)  I 
need some more best of 2001 lists to peruse! 

My 2000-2001 Favorite CD (so far!):

1. Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros-Global A-Go-Go

Best 80's
no particular order

Cure-Seventeen Seconds
New Order-Movement
Magazine-The Correct Use of Soap
Echo and the Bunnymen-Heaven Up Here

OMD-Architecture and Morality
Nine Inch Nails-Pretty Hate Machine
Psychedelic Furs-All of this and nothing
