Anderson" Subject: fashion/music evolution >Anyone else think the whole "dark" theme is getting a bit much? Maybe it's >time for Gary to step back into those Berserker whites. You know, white is >a goth color, too! I completely agree. His current image does appeal to me, but I don't want Gary to get stuck in this cliche goth image forever. What made most of Gary's images so cool was that they were original. Personally, I'd love it if he performed his next show with the white suit from The Fury, but I probably hold the minority viewpoint there... Along the same lines as fashion, I hope the music evolves along the same lines. The recent success he's found with dark industrial music shouldn't force his hand into continuing it against his better artistic judgement. -Mark _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2002 09:10:49 -0000 From: "replicant79" Subject: Aftershow Bash Are you all aware of the Manchester Aftershow Party? www.aftershow.co.uk See you there! ------------------------------ Date: 14 Feb 2002 11:07:20 +0000 From: Steve Webbon Subject: compilations Receiver did not have EXCLUSIVE rights. They have their 50 songs and that'= s it. Otherwise, Eagle control the same material and more and it's they = who licensed to Snapper. Meanwhile the reissue situation is getting worse - Essential records (ie. = the latest guise of Receiver) are not only issuing My Dying Machine / = Sleeproom as a double on 11 march but they're also doing a 3 CD box set - = The Other Side - in April. Maybe Beggars will have to release Warriors / I,= Assassin on mail order first and await a year when there aren't so many = compilations! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2002 18:00:11 -0500 From: Terry Burke Subject: Here in Conan's Car It certainly wouldn't hurt Gary to play the newer version of "Cars", as performed on the last tour. I really enjoyed that. ------------------------------ End digest@garynuman.info Digest [02/14/2002 18:01] --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- T H E G A R Y N U M A N D I G E S T is produced, moderated, and distributed by Derek Langsford, Dave Datta, and Joey Lindstrom dlangs@sunstroke.sdsu.edu, davdat@allmusic.com, Joey@GaryNuman.Info ------------------------------------------------------------------- To reply to the messages in this list, email: digest@garynuman.info If you want to be removed, or someone wants to be added, email: listserv@GaryNuman.info and include this line as the first line of your message body: SUBSCRIBE digest@garynuman.info (email address) or UNSUBSCRIBE digest@garynuman.info (email address) (email address is optional but useful if you have multiple addresses) If you want to switch between receiving Digests or individual posts, again send to listserv@GaryNuman.Info and include either of these in your message body: NORMAL digest@garynuman.info or DIGEST digest@garynuman.info ------------------------------------------------------------------ Please note: this mailing list is configured to automatically unsubscribe you if mail to your mailbox goes undeliverable for any reason.
