Blimey, all the years we were living and dying the Numan thing and we never got a mention here, then 15 years later....booom!!! Funny Huh??? I still think YTDS were the best band I ever played in and we were WELL ahead of our time on the tribute front. I have fond memories of that time, and especially little buzzes like seeing copies of our tape on the front seat of Gary's motor. I'd reform the band in a heartbeat if we could find a credible frontman and a sufficient demand. Incidentally, do you remember we nearly did it a couple of years back, and all met up at the Dog and Duck, scene of our first gig (The Flag). Shame Alan became the devoted Hubby and Dad huh? I still also have hankerings to go re-master the Numan Days album and get it out on CD. It was a fine piece of work IMHO. Maybe we will one day huh? Incidentally Mik the YTDS bass player now plays in Brian Connolly's Sweet with me. We are playing theatres and stadia here and across Europe right now. It is superb, but Numan is still my first love. Any talented Numan clones out there these days?? Luv on Ya!!! I was just sitting there at my desk last night, while the Olympics were on in the background(NBC is the only channel I get without cable!LOL) and then came on an announcer describing the Skeleton event. Basically like a sled hat you are lying on your stomach, and your head is just an inch or two off the ground. Then, I hear the ME riff kick in, and they are playing "Where's your head at". OK, not ground breaking, but still pretty cool I thought. Miliions of people being Numanized, and not even knowing it. I kinda got a subliminal kick out of it.
