Walters" Subject: Scratched CDs Just a note... I had a CD boombox that had a tendency to scratch CDs on occasion (it was at work) and I played the HUMAN CD there a LOT! Well, it got scratched in the middle of the first song and would skip about three times - no matter what I played it on. Wanting to still listen to it, and not chance scratching it more, I ripped a copy of it and burned a new CD. And, much to my surprise - the skipping was no longer there! I assume it had to do with extracting the audio as data rather than playing it - or it could be that Plextor drives ROCK! Now, I'm not saying that this will work with any CD that is scratched, but it worked in this case - without the slightest hint that the original was scratched. It's worth a try. Troy L.
