It's the Plextor - trust me on this. I've got a lot of experience with CD burners, I've burned about 10,000 discs now, and there is nothing better on this planet than a Plextor burner when it comes to ripping audio - at least insofar as QUALITY is concerned. They can sometimes be a little slow if the disc is less than perfect, but they do a whiz-bang job recovering "unplayable" tracks. Several months back, my girlfriend was complaining that one of her favourite discs had a scratch on it that prevented her from enjoying her favourite couple of tracks on it, because no matter what CD player she played it on, it skipped badly on those tracks. I tried first simply PLAYING it on the Plextor, and it played perfectly. So then I duped the entire disc for her - and was she *EVER* pleased with me when the copy came out perfect. :-) Sorry, this is off-topic, but possibly of interest to other Numan fans who have scratchy discs and still wanna listen to 'em. Find somebody with a Plextor burner (or buy one yourself, I recommend 'em heartily) and get 'em to dupe it for ya, then put the original away in a bank vault or somethin'. :-) / From the desk of Joey Lindstrom / / Given time and plenty of paper, a philosopher can prove anything. / -- Lorenzo Smythe, "Double Star" / (Robert Heinlein) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 06 Apr 2002 14:15:08 +0000 From: "Colin Linskey" Subject: Electric: New various artists compilation news Subject: Electric... Aforementioned compilation kicks off with 'Cars'; E Reg Model, later known as Premier Mix, and it's uncredited that it's this version on the CD cover, and also the writing and publishing credits inside. It's still down as 1979, not 1987 as the E Reg Model originally was remixed by Zeus B. Held...
