I think I only listened to "Pure" 4 or 5 times, and the voices in my head say "Pure" is better. Must... change... CDs.... Can't.... ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 20 Apr 2002 22:04:26 -0700 From: Derek Langsford Subject: Technoarmy (where's the barf bag) Ziggy Allen raised the spectre of that wretched collaboration. No you are not the only one with a copy. Many Numan fans/completists own it, of course. Some may have bought it thinking it was tehno versions of Numan tunes. Hah! As for sales figures, who cares? But apart from a few flashes of acceptability it was roundly dismissed as the worst mistake ever made by Gary. I hope the 25,000 pounds he received from it were worth it. 'Twas far worse than the collaboration with Bill Sharpe which at least yielded a very successful single. And I have that too! Rarely listen to it, but at least that's more than the Technoarmy. I haven't played my copy for ages now, but although it isn't Numan music, I still enjoyed it somewhat. It didn't get much coverage, but it definitely came out in CD form in the UK.
