Usually about a >2kb message. Troy, I've been getting so many of them here (mostly to one user - about 80 per day, alternately containing either Klez or Sircam) that I finally broke down and installed an anti-virus software in the email server. My users are breathing a sigh of relief. :-) Just for the record, these people are not sending you the virus. One of two things has happened (or both): 1) The user in question has been infected, and Klez is (unknown to the user) sending out emails on his/her behalf. 2) The user in question is NOT infected, but somebody who has that user in their Outlook (or Outlook Express) address book *IS*. Klez will fake the "from" address on a random basis, and thus some of the outgoing viruses appear to be "from" the user in question. Yet another reason *NOT* to use Outlook/Outlook Express. If anyone wants a really nice Windows email client, that has *NOT* been exploited by viruses/trojans, surf to: http://www.pmmail2000.com (I don't work for them - I'm a satisfied customer who's been using this product since its OS/2 days in 1994) It's free to evaluate for (I think) 45 days, then you have to pay to continue using it. / From the desk of Joey Lindstrom / / I used to be a narrator for bad mimes. / --Steven Wright ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 May 2002 23:56:52 -0700 (PDT) From: keith thripp Subject: --0-1476248961-1021359412=:29490 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii As you will all know Gary was on the Graham Norton show on Chan 4 last night. He was really relaxed and tanned from his Mexico trip. He was there to promote his best of cd but, he was up for a laugh, Gemma was there to and , she 2 also looked well. At the end of the show he did a tiny version of AFE. It finished @ 1140pm but, was worth the late night for me. --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo! I am afraid that we just have to learn not to be curious!!! If something comes in, especially with no message, from someone you don't know, just delete it. Don't open it!!!! Paddy Vickers ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 May 2002 23:04:01 +0100 From: "Vickers" Subject: TV appearance Gary appeared last night on a TV show hosted by Graham Norton. Gary was the main guest for the chatting, and then Gary and the band (minus Steve Harris) played out with a rather truncated AFE. Gary played guitar. I think that appearance will have done him a lot of good!!! G. Norton also pulled out a copy of the new compilation double album 'Exposure', and waved it about, telling people it is out next week. Yey!
