I wonder how it would work on my new widescreen HDTV projection unit... :-) / From the desk of Joey Lindstrom / / I bought my brother some gift-wrap for Christmas. I took it to the Gift / Wrap department and told them to wrap it, but in a different print so he / would know when to stop unwrapping. / --Steven Wright ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jun 2002 08:59:33 -0400 From: Michael Tressler Subject: Has someone lost his mind? From Rod: "The release date for the Rip singles was supposed to be June 24th so I went to www.hmv.co.uk and www.amazon.co.uk to order. Both have the release dates as July 1st now, so it seems to have been pushed back a week. Amazon is listing them for =A33.99. HMV has them for =A32.99 each." This blows my mind. More than thirty dollars EACH, for CD SINGLES? Sorry, my friends, I love Mr. Numan but I am not about to shell out that kind of dough just to pick up a new version of M.E. & A.F.E. (or whatever's on them). I don't know who was behind the pricing decision but whoever it was needs a CAT scan to search for brain tumors. Hey.=20 When I typed that I used the UK pound symbol (=A3) which for you came out as =3DA3. The prices are 3.99 UK pounds and 2.99 UK pounds respectively, which is around $6 US. We can abbreviate US Dollars with $US, how does one shorthand type out UK pounds?
