Alan Partridge is the kind of man who, given any situation, will say the wrong thing, and not understand why people are giving him funny looks. He's the guy who thinks hospital error jokes are funny when visiting a friend undergoing surgery, who suggests having sex with his Russian girlfriend, takes a big swig of Listerine in front of her and then, not wanting to spit it back out, swallows it. In this series, he's been living in a trailer while his house is being built, and when his girlfriend finds herself homeless, tells her to move in with him. Or rather, the trailer. So he can visit. When she asks about rent, he winks and says he's sure they can 'work something out'. Honestly, what I've written doesn't do the character justice. Let's just say it's more cringe-worthy British comedy. ;) Jon wrote: > I thought that Alan Partridge's mimed fretless bass playing to 'Music = > for Chameleons' was cringeworthy and a real embarrassment for Numan and = > his fans. Surely people don't take Partridge's 'fandom' seriously?? On a personal note, does anyone know if Gemma and Gary have children? I'm just curious, now that my husband and myself find ourselves in a similar situation...
