Just got my IA & W remasters the other day in the post and I'm pleasantly suprised with the astoundingly GOOD quality of the sound on them! They make my old CD versions sound positively terrible :) The b-sides from these 2 albums are some of my very favorites of Gary's....My Car Slides, Glitter & Ash, The Image Is, This House is Cold, etc....all sound spectacular and don't have that unmixed, washed out sound of some of the bsides from other eras (e.g., Metal Beat, Whisper of Truth, etc.) War Games has a tappy beat beneath all the layers of sound that I had never heard before. Glitter and Ash never sounded so good. 2 thumbs up! I'm glad I was also able to get the UK releases of these remasters in keeping w/ my collection of UK-only releases of all the remasters put out in the last few yrs :D My 2 p worth....everyone have a great Christmas and NU year! Matter of fact, in an odd way I think it was very complimentary. Whoever selected 'Music For Chameleons' knew their stuff, I mean, a lot of bands used fretless basses during the 80's, such as Japan; but MFC was one of the best song with a fretless bass.
